An evolution of this picture [link] . Quite a leap i'd say.

The idea started out as combat armour and has evolved since to now be an outfit that flows with the user's movements and has a higher protective quality than ceramic body armour as well as greatly enchancing the user's strength and endurance levels. The basic concept being using synthtic muscle made of materrials tougher than kevlar.

That's an interesting concept of combat skin, I like the fact it doesn't decrease one's speed or strength and yet protect his body. This is definitely better than his old concept, seems a lot more effective as well.

The old concept seemed too generic. A sufficiently advanced society such as the TT might have cracked bullet-proof fibre mesh material.

The added bonus of using tough material for the muscles is that this same material allows the msucles to exert more force before straining or breaking.
